We came to Thurrock garden centre to purchase summer flowering bulbs. A lovely selection was on display , my favourite was there. Dalia’s, all waiting to be planted next month. Many other items attracted our attention, especially some lovely orchids. After choosing two of the orchids we found ourselves in the nicely laid out restaurant. I had to pick the largest slice of bread pudding I ever did see. Coffee & tea served by the friendly staff. What a lovely afternoon we had. Tuesdays there is live entertainment which is a must with a few friends sharing some hot meals is very welcome.

the food is good,but you have to wait in queue for quite a long time (weekend), so I felt really bad for the older people there.
The nice thing is that there is a play area for the kids, which makes the visit fun for my little one.

Visited here by bus, 370 from Hornchurch via Upminster.
Quite a large open garden centre with a good selection of plants for all types of garden. It was quite a cold day so the indoor area was very welcome and much warmer.
We also made use of the café, which offers a good selection of hot and cold drinks as well as food.
We can definitely recommend and will certainly be visiting again.

The best place around! I would highly recommend to everyone, but a lady with her child was seen arguing with staff.. i felt sorry for them. they deserve a pay rise after the treatment she put them through, you are doing so good!

Visit the cafe quite frequently. The staff are fantastic, super friendly and the little soft play is brilliant for toddlers.

Lovely place with a very good cafe/restraunt with a good choice of food and cakes .
Also of course its a good garden center with lots of odds and ends plants bulbs seeds and other gardening equipment.

This is a great Garden Centre BUT? Has lost two stars from us due to the tribute acts now being in a closed off area!! As you may know you could previously go and have the choice of a set menu sitting in the front area near the Tribute Act, or have a meal of your choice at the next section and able to see and hear the tribute acts, but you was still spending your money, and both areas were packed, and it was a great afternoons entertainment. But now it’s in a closed off room there’s hardly anyone in the next section, and not that many people in the closed off room? We now go to The View Garden Centre where the tribute acts are there and FREE for everyone!! ***OUR ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT REVERT TO YOUR EXCELLENT PREVIOUS SET UP***

I think this is a very nice garden centre we had breakfast while we visited the food was very the trouble is it was only lukewarm I prefer my food very hot

Lovely food in the cafe. Very good value and choice. Garden centre is well laid out. Found a couple of little bits for friends for Christmas. Love the layout and selection in the Christmas shop
